Casualty is flown to hospital after A607 crash

Three people were taken to hospital after a two-vehicle collision near Melton on Tuesday morning.

One person was airlifted to Nottingham’s Queens Medical Centre and two other casualties were taken to the QMC by road ambulance.

The crash happened on the A607 between Croxton Kerrial and Waltham, at the junction for Branston and Eaton, at about 11.15am.

The vehicles involved were a white panel van and a black Vauxhall Astra.

Two fire crews from Melton were also sent to the crash. The road was closed until 1.50pm while emergency services were in attendance.

It’s understood none of the casualties were seriously injured.

l Three vehicles were involved in a collision on the A607 near Kirby Bellars yesterday morning.

The collision, which involved a white transit van, a silver Ford and a grey Audi, was reported to police just before 8am.

Highways officials were contacted due to some fluid on the road.

No injuries were reported to the police.
