A woman remains in hospital after a serious collision involving two cars on the A6006 Asfordby Road in Melton on Friday (February 20).
The incident, which happened at about 8.50am, involved a red Vauxhall Astra and a black Renault Scenic.
The driver and front seat passenger in the Astra were taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham. The driver, a man, was subsequently discharged after treatment and the passenger, a woman, remained in hospital at the time of going to press where her condition was described as stable. Three children in the back of the Astra were not hurt but were taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
The driver of the Scenic was also taken to the Queens’s Medical Centre and discharged after treatment.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw the collision to get in touch with them.
The Astra was travelling away from Melton town centre and the Scenic was heading in the opposite direction when they collided near the golf course.
