Have your say

Tributes have been paid to a Melton woman who was tragically taken in a car crash on Christmas Day morning.

Lynda Wade (48) was driving along the A606 Oakham Road, near Langham, shortly before 9am when her Ford C-Max car was involved in a collision with a Toyota Auris car.

Mrs Wade, who was pronounced dead at the scene, leaves behind husband, Trevor, and their children, Laura and Ryan.

Her family and friends have been paying tributes to her personally, with a fuller tribute from her family being published in a future edition of the Melton Times at their request.

The driver of the other car involved in the collision, Mark Price (51), of Rothley, was also pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the crash or who has any information to come forward.

Officers said both Mrs Wade and Mr Price were travelling alone at the time of the crash. No other vehicles were involved.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Constable 1761 Pete Davies on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Mrs Wade’s family has requested all enquiries regarding the funeral service to be made to Richard Barnes Funeral Directors on (01664) 565311.
