Firefighters cut three people free from the wreckage of a vehicle after it was in collision with another vehicle on the A46 this morning (Monday).
Crews from Melton, Oakham and West Bridgford attended the incident, on the A46 near Willoughby-on-the-Wolds, along with a specialist rescue team from Nottingham.
An air ambulance did land at the scene but three casualties were taken to hospital by road.
A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said those trapped were all in the same vehicle.
A spokesperson for East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) said: “We received a call at 10.52am reporting a road traffic collision involving three vehicles near the go kart track in Willoughby.
“Three patients were trapped and the air ambulance, hazardous area response team and several EMAS crews were called to attend.
“The patients were all taken by land ambulance to Queen’s Medical Centre, in Nottingham, for further treatment.”
