Six acts to perform in charitable Melton's Got Talent final

Six talented singing acts from around the borough are preparing for the final of Melton’s Got Talent in aid of the Sue Ryder Foundation - a charity which provide hospice and neurological care for people facing a frightening, life changing diagnosis.

Finalists are Emily Brown, Shannon Horton, David Newton, Ashton Dean, a barber shop quartet and a band. All have made it through tough auditions to vie for the title.

The winner of the competition will receive £100, a coveted trophy and have their winning song recorded by community radio station 103 The Eye.

Four judges have been chosen to critique finalists. These are Steve Johnson, of 103 The Eye, Melton singer Howard Rose, Brian Johnson secretary of Melton’s Royal British Club and Noel G of Noel Gee Associates Ltd.

There will also be a raffle with some astute prizes and there will be two cabaret style performances from Howard Rose and Grantham vocalist Sharna.

Tickets for the evening have already sold out but there may be a few extra being sold on the door on the night.

The audience is advised to arrive early around 6.45pm ready for a 7.30pm start. Guests are also asked to use the entrance door opposite McDonald’s.
