A Suffolk family is appealing to Melton people for their help after their ‘distraught’ one-year-old son lost his toy rabbit in the town.

The family, who were in Melton on Sunday for the country fair, have put messages and photos on Facebook in the hope of finding the toddler’s beloved bunny.

The boy’s father, Roland Evans, said: “Our son has had the toy rabbit since birth. He is distraught as even though we have an identical spare rabbit, he doesn’t have two years worth of wear and tear so he is well aware that it is not his ‘bunnybear’ as he calls it.

“After posting to several Melton Facebook groups we have had two sightings, both on a wall between Wetherspoons (The Kettleby Cross) and Barclays Bank on Wilton Road between 4pm and 6pm. These sightings make sense as we had lunch there.

“Any help that might make a little boy very happy would be hugely appreciated!”
