Rotary Santa’s sleigh brings festive cheer

Members of the Rotary Club of Melton Mowbray Belvoir, Rotary Inner Wheel and Round Table are continuing to bring some festive cheer to the town with their annual Santa’s sleigh collections.

Money raised is used to support the many charitable activities of all the clubs.

The sleigh will be visiting the Valley Road area later today (Thursday), starting from the Cherry Tree pub, at 6pm.

Tomorrow it will visit the Baldocks Lane area, starting from Baldocks Lane at 6pm.

And on Saturday the sleigh will be in Thorpe Road area, starting from Beechwood Avenue at 5pm.

Santa will also be at Melton’s Tesco store daily from Sunday (Dec 13) to Thursday (Dec 17) between 10am and 4pm.

He will also be at the town’s Morrisons store today, between 10am-4pm, Lidl tomorrow, between 10am and 4pm and at the Co-op on Saturday (Dec 12), 10am-4pm.

Evening routes and times may have to be varied if unseen circumstances arise.

Weather permitting, the Vale of Belvoir Lions Club are also lending a hand to Santa as he continues his tour of the Vale and local villages on his sleigh for the Lions’ annual Christmas charity.
