Rosemary Conley to open new luxury Melton care home

The Asfordby Road facility, which has 50 en suite bedrooms, a cinema, a library, a gym and a hairdressing salon, recently opened its doors to residents.

Mrs Conley will be special guest for an open day event, from 12.30pm to 4pm, where visitors are invited to tour the building, meet staff and ask questions.

Champagne and canapes will be served to celebrate the opening and a choir will also be performing.

The home has 24-hour nursing support and has created 60 new jobs.

Manager Chris Batty, who is experienced in care facility management, said: “The Team and I are ecstatic to be able to open the doors to the public.

“Since opening we’ve had a number of enquiries from those looking to find out more about our Home – we’re very much looking forward to meeting them and their families, to show them everything that The Amwell Care Home has to offer.”

A second open day will be held the following day, from 10am to 4pm, with further tours available. Private viewings can also be arranged.
