A design and access statement accompanying Davidsons’ application to Melton Council says its vision is ‘to provide a new high quality development that integrates with the existing settlement of Long Clawson and complements the existing landscape setting.”

The developer, which is also proposing to provide 40 per cent affordable housing at the site, says it reviewed and amended some of its original proposals in light of responses it received as part of its public consultation.

The planning application will be decided by Melton Council in due course.
