Members of the Rotary Club of Melton Mowbray Belvoir, Inner Wheel, Guides and Round Table make that possible by organising for the man himself to venture out into certain streets in his sleigh.

But how will you make sure you get to see him?

To help you with that here is the remaining route he will be taking around Melton in the lead up to Christmas.

This list is the intended route, but it is dependent on the weather.

Today, the sleigh is in the Valley Road area, starting from the Cherry Tree pub at 6pm.

Tomorrow, the Baldocks Lane area will be the sleigh’s destination at 6pm and on Saturday it visits the Thorpe End area, starting from Beechwood Avenue at 5pm.

Santa will also be at Lidl today to Saturday, between 10am and 4pm and Tesco all week from Monday to Sunday (Dec 18), between 10am and 4pm.

Last year, as a result of the sleigh and other fundraising activities, more than £10,000 was given to organisations as diverse as Melton Churches Together, Seniors Walk Club, Melton Learning Hub, Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation and Melton Vale Post 16 Centre.
