A group of Year five girls from Whissendine Primary School held a cake sale and sponsored silence to raise funds for Home Start.
Home Start, is a national family support charity which helps parents build better lives for their children. The girls had great fun and raised a fantastic £99.65.
Adrienne Holland, a trust a trustee for the charities Melton and Rutland branch collected the money on behalf of the organisation. She said: “The sponsored silence must have been extremely challenging.
“The school and its children have earned a huge vote of thanks.”
