Conservatives are celebrating in Melton after the borough council elections saw a landslide for their candidates.
The Tories now hold 14 of the 15 town seats and they now have a massive majority.
It was a disastrous poll for Labour - the party had six councillors in the eight contested wards but they were all wiped out.
Alan Pearson, who was elected into Melton Dorian for the Conservatives, said: “You know that saying ‘painting the town red’, well it should now be changed to ‘painting the town blue’.”
