School’s video tribute for Captain Tom’s 100th birthday

Families of 23 pupils contributed their own footage for a video to wish Captain Tom a happy birthday.

They emailed their clips to early years practitioner, Jo Berry, and she edited it all together with music and photographs from his life.

Miss Berry said: “Because Captain Tom has been such an inspiration to the world we wanted to do something for him.

“I was aware he would get thousands of cards so wanted a different way to celebrate. I put a shout out to parents and children if they wanted to be part of a Happy Birthday video - 23 families responded which is amazing for a small village school.”

Captain Tom has raised nearly £30million for the NHS by doing laps of his garden using his mobility walker.
