The event, organised by members of the Melton Mowbray Netball Club, raised over £1,000 for the trust in memory of former player, Jola Gowing (19), who died earlier this year.

Jola’s sister, Helena, and her parents were among whose who attended the recently held event in the King Edward VII Sports Centre at the Melton Sports Village.

A total of £745 was raised on the day with £342 being donated after the event online.

Thanks go to the Melton Sports Village for allowing free use of the sports centre for the event and to everyone who made donations and gave their support.
