Telecoms company Vodafone has agreed to meet with Melton’s MP to discuss residents’ concerns over the planned installation of a mobile phone mast on their estate.
The Rt Hon Sir Alan Duncan stepped into the dispute after householders staged protests when workmen came to inspect the site, on the corner of Grange Drive and Sapcote Drive in Melton.
He was unhappy with the company’s response that they were ‘reviewing all options’ after he wrote to them.
Mr Duncan said: “This is the sort of non-answer that Melton residents are sick of hearing.
“I have immediately sought a meeting with Vodafone and will continue to give them both barrels until they are straight with people about their plans.”
