Melton Rotary Star Awards given to shining pupils
Rotary Star Awards have been presented to kids who have made a difference in their school and their community.

The Melton and Melton Belvoir Rotary Club have rewarded primary school children in Year 6 who, in the view of their teachers, have not been the most outstanding academically but have been exceptionally good citizens by encouraging and motivating others.
The pupils have also been excellent role models for their friends, demonstrated high expectations and have been hard working.
The primary schools who took part include Ab Kettleby, Asfordby Hill, Gaddesby, Great Dalby, Long Clawson, Old Dalby, Queniborough, Scalford, Somerby and Swallowdale.
Each winner received a Rotary Star badge, certificate and a gift voucher.

Whereas the majority of Rotary Youth Service activities cater predominantly for gifted and talented children, the Rotary Star Award is open to and suitable for all primary school children irrespective of age, talent or academic ability. It is about personal commitment and achievement and has no competitive overtones.
All Melton borough schools are invited to participate in the 2019 Rotary Star Awards. For more details email Tony Pick at [email protected]
