Melton Council's innovative Me and My Learning programme receives national recognition at awards
The Me and My Learning programme was successful in two categories, achieving a silver award in the innovation category and a bronze award in the transforming services category.
Me and My Learning, based at Phoenix House on Nottingham Road, helps people to live more independently and has been successful in moving over 100 people into work since starting in 2014.

Hide AdIt brings together a wide range of partner organisations under a single delivery ‘umbrella’ which means they are able to work together to help people.
It transforms the way in which services are provided, particularly to people who face multiple barriers. Using a detailed assessment of needs and an agreed individual journey it provides holistic and co-ordinated support to enable individuals to become digitally, financially and socially independent and support people to move into sustainable work.
Melton Borough Council leader Byron Rhodes said: “This recognition underlines our innovative approach and reflects the significant efforts of our staff and partners in helping change people’s lives.”
