The tireless fundraising of a Melton property lettings team has earned a national award for the fourth year in a row.

Charlotte Baker, Katie Archer, Graham Croft and their team from the Belvoir office on Burton Street were named charity champions at the firm’s ‘High Achievers’ awards.

Over the last four years the Melton team has raised over £5,000 for good causes.

This time around the eight-strong team turned their attention towards boosting funds for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance by running events including an ‘auction of promises’ and a charity bag pack at the town’s Sainsbury’s supermarket.

Charlotte said: “We had terrific support from local people and businesses who donated items and in total we raised £1,586. “This year we have set our sights on a sponsored climb of Mount Snowdon and haven’t yet nominated our chosen charity but I’d like to thank everyone for their continued support.”

Belvoir Chairman and CEO Mike Goddard added:“ The Melton Mowbray office’s on-going charity achievements are particularly commendable since they were kept extremely busy last year not only looking after their local landlord and tenant clients, but in opening up a second office in Bingham.”
