Locals enjoyed a fun and informative family day out as Northfield Farm in Cold Overton opened its gates as part of Open Farm Sunday.
Northfield Farm which has participated in the event on and off for the last seven years, gave visitors the chance to learn more about the inner workings of the farm and how their food gets from field to plate.
Activities included walk and talks, tractor and trailer rides, bailing demonstrations, animal visits and a tour of farm machinery.
Northfield Farm owner Jan McCourt said: “We enjoyed our best ever turnout of around 300 visitors.
“We’d sent flyers out to all the local schools but weren’t expecting the response we got. The weather was awesome and it was a great day.”
