A POPULAR Vale cafe has a new owner, but Debbie Burroughs will be a familiar face across the counter.

She owned Jingles in Melton’s Bell Centre for 10 years and has worked at On The Sands Cafe and Deli in Long Clawson for the last 18 months. She liked it so much she has now taken over the business from Rachel Dorsett.

Debbie said: “The business has been set up really well and it’s popular with local people, cyclists, walkers and visitors to the area.

“We’ve stocked up the deli counter and are now selling kitcheware and cookware. Over the next few months we’ll develop the menu further, too, to offer customers good value for money.”

The cafe deli is open from 9am to 4pm Monday to Saturday and from 10.30am to 4pm on Sundays where brunch with the papers is a popular pastime.
