Children learned how the church organ works at a musical themed session at St Mary’s, Melton.
They were then led in a rousing chorus of Land of Hope and Glory by musical director James Gutteridge.
There was also the chance to learn songs and play along with musical instruments under the guidance of local musician and teacher Glenys Cox.
The event, the latest Saturday activities morning held at the church, coincided with this year’s Last Night of the Proms concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
The children also decorated cakes, attemped an anagram trail and worked on crafts. The activities mornings are free and the next one is on October 10, at 11.15am, when the theme is ‘Food, Glorious Food’.
