A Melton volunteer and company are among the nominees in the running to scoop a 2016 Leicestershire Cares Award.
Leicestershire Cares works with the homeless, young people leaving care, ex-offenders, school children and community groups and brings businesses and communities together, for the benefit of all, through employee volunteering.
The Leicestershire Cares Awards acknowledge volunteers and their employers who go more than the extra mile to help charities, community groups and people in need of new opportunities.
Jodie Hancock, from Kettleby Foods in Melton, is one of three nominees in the running for a volunteer of the year award.
Melton-based company Sylvester Cheung Architects is one of three companies nominated for the ProHelp award - recognising those companies who support community groups with pro-bono help.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Leicester on May 17.
Monica Stark, director of Leicestershire Cares, said: “Congratulations and thanks to all the nominated individuals and companies for their tremendous impact.”
