Melton vocalist Mark Frisby will be performing with the chart-topping Military Wives Choir at a charity concert being held at Leicester’s De Montfort Hall on Saturday (October 10).
Mark, who formerly lectured musical theatre at Brooksby Melton College for 10 years, successfully auditioned for the lead tenor part in the spring and will be joining the choir for a rendition of their popular composition ‘In My Dreams’.
He will also be leading the Leicester Male Voice Choir with popular musical favourite ‘Love Changes Everything’.
He said: “Having been in local bands and musical productions over the years, this is a really exciting new opportunity for me. I’m truly honoured to be representing Melton with the Military Wives at this concert.”
Mark has been supported in vocal tuition by local musical virtuoso Edgars Cuzinskis – choirmaster and musical director for Leicester City Male Voice Choir - who will also be taking part in the event.
In addition to the Military Wives Choir, performances will include choice compositions from the world famous ‘Fron’ Welsh Male Voice Choir.
The show will be hosted and compered by BBC Radio Leicester presenters Dave Andrews and Monica Winfield.
