A group of Melton neighbours held a fundraising afternoon to raise funds for Macmillan.
Under the direction of Christine Wyness, residents at Northfield Court were able to enjoy a cup of tea and raise money for the charity through a tombola, raffle, plant and book stall.
There was an element of celebration for the Queen’s 90th birthday as some people dressed in red white and blue.
Janet Gilchrist of the Macmillan Cancer Support Melton group said: “Christine has done this for the last couple of years and it has a real community feel. Everyone enjoys taking part.
“She raised £273 and plans to hold another event in August.”
