A charity family fundraising day held at Melton’s Cherry Tree pub on Sunday raised a whopping £1,172.58.
The successful event, which included a whole host of activities as well as entertainment in the evening, was organised by Melton mum Georgie Firmager.
As a finalist in the Miss Leicestershire 2016 contest one of the requirements was for Georgie to get involved in charity work.
She decided to hold an event in aid of the charity Steps - the leading voice and national charity for lower limb conditions in the UK.
She said: “It was a really good day and night. The turn out was great and we raised an amazing £1,172.58 which I’m so happy with. I’d like to thank all the people and businesses who supported the event and everyone who donated, I’m extremely grateful.”
