Outline plans to build 15 homes on the south western edge of Asfordby Hill have been given the thumbs up by Melton Council’s planning committee.
Councillor Pam Baguley said she was concerned about parking on Glebe Road - which was among the objections raised by local residents.
But planning officer Jennifer Wallis said: “We’re not convinced there will be an on-street parking issue. There’s adequate off-street parking provided within the development.”
The committee voted to approve the outline proposals subject to conditions including the applicant giving details of how a ‘turning head’ to the west of the site will be kept available at all times.
