The annual event will see people all over the UK host coffee mornings to raise money for the charity.

The Geese and Fountain at Croxton Kerrial kicked off proceedings on September 15 with a cake competition, cake sale and raffle to help the cause.

There was also coffee morning at Old Dalby Village Hall on September 20, and the Daniel Smith Blues Band donated profits from their concert at Hose Village Hall on September 21 to Macmillan Cancer Support.

But the coffee mornings don’t stop there. Here’s what else we are aware of that is happening.

A fundraiser for Macmillan will take place at Grimston Village Hall tomorrow from 10am-12noon. This will be the 15th year that Grimston has held a coffee morning and it will include a bring-and-buy cake and produce sale, raffle and sale of Christmas Cards, as well as coffee, cakes and biscuits being served all morning.

Estate agents Harrison Murray are selling cakes tomorrow in branch from 10am-3pm.

Also taking place tomorrow are; Tresillian House at 67 Dalby Road, Melton (10am-12noon); St Francis Catholic Primary School, Melton (9-11am), Sproxton Village Hall (10am-12noon), St Mary’s Church, Melton (10.30am-12.30pm), Southfields, 6 South Street, Scalford, (10am-4pm), Stapleford Park Golf Pavilion, (10am-2pm), Rural Catering Centre, Melton (10am-2pm).

More on Saturday are: Thrussington village church (10am-12noon), Bradgate Flats, Asfordby (10am-12noon), Staveley Road, Melton (9am-12noon).

Further down the line on October 3, a coffee morning hosted by the Melton Sage Cross Methodist Church Ladies Club is happening at 2pm, and another one will take place on October 13, at Welby Lane Mission Church Hall, from 10.30am-12noon.

Last year, the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning raised more than £27 million and with your help, this can be another successful year.
