Latest Melton Teenage Market is the biggest to date
The event held in Melton’s Market Place, on September 10, was a platform for some of the brightest young people across the borough (aged 13-21) to showcase their creative talents and entrepreneurial spirit for free.
The musical line-up included Sky Theatre’s Phantom of the Opera, Lightbulb Parade, The Blacklistt and Corrupt Nation, thanks to support from Icon Music. Traders were Decoupage, Alright Ducky, Just.bee.u, Loz and Vs Versus.

Hide AdThe Teenage Market is organised by the Melton Business Improvement District (BID) in partnership with Melton Council as a way of giving young entrepreneurs and performers a prominent stage to show off their creative talents and to help get their businesses off the ground.
Town centre manager and business improvement district (BID) manager Shelagh Core said: “Despite the horrible wet weather we had musical performances on stage all day from 10.30am to 4pm.
“This Melton Teenage Market was our biggest one yet and it is certainly an event that will continue to grow year on year, thanks to the support of local artists, traders and businesses.
“There is a demand amongst traders now to launch a Christmas Teenage Market for arts and crafts in December, which will be the first of its kind. New details for Melton’s 2017 Teenage Markets will be detailed on the website, www.teenagemarket.co.uk”
