Residents of the Melton borough have just days left to have their say on possible changes to Leicestershire County Council’s mobile library service.
At the moment the council has six mobile library vans, which serve 3,800 people per year. The route covers 499 stops once a fortnight and makes 195,000 loans per year.
The council is now proposing to: change the frequency of visits to either one every three weeks or once a month, update the network of library stops to take account of new developments and actual usage and make any changes from September this year.
The consultation closes on Wednesday (April 8).
You can have your say at www.leics.gov.uk/haveyoursay/mobilelibraries or by phoning (0116) 305 4699.
