A West Norfolk firm has paid its own tribute to Leicester City for winning the Premier League at the incredible odds of 5000-1.
The family-run Langham Glass, of Fakenham, has produced a commemorative piece of glassware to hail the achievement.
It is one of two special pieces of glassware the firm is releasing this week. The other is to mark the 90th birthday of the Queen.
The Leicester City piece is inspired by the nickname of the club, the Foxes.
Designed by artist Paul Miller, Langham Glass have released a blown glass Blue Fox on an engraved crystal base piece.
The limited edition glassware will see just 500 being made and sold.
Priced at £89.95, Langham Glass described it as: “An excellent way to have a piece of history in your home and show your support to Leicester City Football Club.”
Another landmark event this year is the Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebrations and the piece designed by Langham Glass is a hand crafted, glass corgi sitting on an engraved crystal base.
Just 90 have been made at the factory in Greenway Lane, Fakenham.
The piece is a nod towards Her Majesty’s well known love of the corgi dog breed and is engraved with the words ‘To Celebrate the 90th Birthday of her majesty, Queen Elizabeth II 2016’.
That too costs £89.95. Langham Glass said: “A very fitting piece that we are sure the Queen herself would love to have pride of place on one of her many mantle pieces.”
Both pieces can be ordered direct from the Langham Glass website http://www.langhamglass.co.uk and as they are limited edition, it will be a first come first serve basis, with no more being made by request.
