Knit a breast event being held in Melton in support of breast cancer survivors

A team of ladies will be crafting as many knitted breasts as possible which are to be donated to the Leicester Royal Infirmary’s Osborne ward where they can be used as an immediate alternative to plastic prosthetics.

The event is at More Coffee Co in Market Place on Sunday, 12.30pm until 4pm.

Knitters are being asked if they can bring along their own wool-free yarns. Organisers say it would also help if people can bring along four millimetre needles (size eight).
