An inspirational girl from Melton will put her best foot forward to complete a sponsored 3km walk around Drayton Manor for the National Autistic Society.
Amelia Yates (10), who attends St Francis Primary School and who suffers from autism and a sensory processing disorder, is to take part in the All Aboard for Autism Walk, on Saturday, September 26.
She has already raised around £700 for the charity close to her heart through a variety of fundraisers including selling her toys and making loom bands.
Amelia has also organised a raffle at Quirky Love (on Sysonby Street, Melton), next Friday (August 14), which she hopes will raise more funds.
On her walk she will be accompanied by her cousins Archie (5) and Freddie (3), mum Jessica and stepdad Guy.
Mum Jessica Picton said: “Her confidence can be very low so it’s just amazing to see her get such a boost from helping others like her and we’re immensely proud!”
