More than 200 runners of all ages were showered in powder paint as they took part in the second Colour Blast Dash in Melton Country Park on Sunday.
Younger fun runners, accompanied by adults, were challenged to complete a 2.5k course - one circuit of the country park - while adults took on the 5k race.
Among this year’s paint covered runners was a bride who strode out in her veil!
The fundraising family event was organised by professional bereavement service The Laura Centre.
The centre’s Tony Whitmore, who was MC on the day, said: “It was an absolutely fantastic day. The feeling I got back from the crowd was phenomenal. Everyone was having a whale of a time.
“We had about 220 runners this year which is up on last year. The first race went off with a bit of rain but that soon cleared away. It was probably a perfect day for running.”
Many runners raised money for The Laura Centre though the charity said a final fundraising total wouldn’t be known until about a month’s time, with donations still coming in. You can donate at www.justgiving.com/lauracentre
