Music sensation Howard Rose visited Melton’s Icon Music shop this morning (Thursday) as part of a quick stop to thank some of the people closest to him for their support.
The 28-year-old, who has recently been a contestant on the BBC’s singing talent show The Voice, kicked back with best friend and owner of Icon Music Tom Griggs.
Howard, who is due to return home to Manchester later today, bought his first guitar from Melton’s previous music shop Mel Tone.
He said: “It’s been a bit of a whirlwind since I left the show on Saturday, so it’s nice to come back to Melton and see a few familiar faces. The support I’ve had from the whole town has been amazing and I’d just like to say thank you.”
The former Brownlow Primary School and John Ferneley student also helped declare Melton’s new Ponden Home Interiors store in Nottingham Street open.
He added: “Over the next month I’m going to be working hard producing some tracks in one of my friend’s studio but I would still very much like to pursue putting on a show later this year at Melton Theatre with some of the contestants I met on the show.”
