Professionals providing quality care in Melton have been recognised by Leicestershire County Council.
Around 25 providers from across the county’s residential and nursing homes recently attended an awards event at County Hall.
Some of the care professionals received dignity awards, illustrating they have met 10 challenges, including zero tolerance of all forms of abuse and helping older people to stay independent and working closely with family members.
Certificates for reaching quality standards (QAFs) were also handed out, and there were talks by some of the care home managers, residents and relatives.
The Melton care providers who received awards were:
Mar Lodge (dignity)
Scalford Court (QAF).
Charnwood care providers who received awards included:
Lingdale Lodge, East Goscote (dignity and QAF)
Primrose Lodge, East Goscote (dignity and QAF).
Sandy McMillan, the county council’s acting director for adults and communities, said: “We work closely with providers to ensure good-quality care and wanted to reward their efforts in driving up standards.”
