Teenager Molly Carter has cut her hair for cancer - and raised far more than she ever expected.
The 13-year-old who lives in Grimston and had her long dark brown locks cut off in the stocks on the village green, on Saturday, November 21.
Molly wanted to raise money for Cancer Research because she lost her grandmother to ovarian cancer two years ago.
She said: “My original target was £1,000 which I beat and so my next target became £1,500 which I smashed too, so in total I raised £1,804,41.
“I would like to thank all of my sponsors and all those who have supported me.”
This was the first time that Molly had ever had her hair cut except for the odd trim.
She is donating her locks to the Little Princess Trust
