Gates Nurseries Garden Centre customers raise £2,000 for cancer charity
Staff at Gates Nurseries Garden Centre in Cold Overton recently presented a cheque to Hope Against Cancer.
A cheque for over £2,000 was presented to the charity’s chief executive officer Nigel Rose, by cancer survivor and restaurant manager, Gilly Thornton, on behalf of generous customers who donated into a wishing well fountain at the centre.
Owner, Kathy Gates said: “I am delighted to present Hope Against Cancer with the money that we raised from our customers putting pennies in the fountain. We hope that more people can help with this amazing charity.”
