The Flying Scotsman’s first journey through the county on June 4 attracted a big turnout and there is likely to be an equally big turnout again.

The locomotive returned to the tracks earlier this year following a 10-year restoration programme, which cost £4.3m.

On Saturday, the Scotsman will depart Kettering at approximately 9.40am before going through Wellingborough, Corby, Gretton, over the Harringworth Viaduct at about 10am, before passing Manton and Oakham at about 10.10am.

It will then go onto Melton Mowbray for about 10.25am.

People are advised to stay safe while trying to catch a glimpse and not to trespass onto the railways or private property.
