Three crews of firefighters raced to Holwell this afternoon (Thursday) after receiving multiple reports of a building on fire.
Appliances from Melton, Birstall and West Bridgford stations attended the incident, at a single storey workshop in Ironstone Lane.
The fire service spent almost an hour battling the blaze after being alerted at 12.15pm.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire and Fire and Rescue Service said: “Multiple emergency calls were received about a building fire at
“Initially, two appliances were mobilised but due to the volume of calls a third appliance was also mobilised.
“On arrival, crews confirmed this was a single storey workshop involved in fire in a building which measures 10 metres by 10 metres.
“It was believed two propane cylinders were involved in fire within the building but it was found that this wasn’t the case.”
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
