Firefighters who dealt with a blazing stack of pallets at Melton were concerned it might spread to nearby trees.
A town crew were alerted to the fire, at Countrywide Freight in St Bartholomews Way, on Friday evening.
They immediately sent for a second Melton pump.
Incident commander Scott Smith said: “The fire involved a stack of pallets and a pile of nearby rubbish.
“It was a in a heavily wooded area and we were concerned the fire might spread so we put out a call for a second pump to attend.”
The fire, which was believed to have been started deliberately, was at 9.44pm.
