Community-spirited people can find out more about volunteering in the Melton area at an event being held later this month.
A volunteering information coffee afternoon - organised by Melton Council and Voluntary Action LeicesterShire (VAL) - is taking place on Thursday, January 29. at the council’s Parkside offices (chamber 2), 1pm to 3pm.
Volunteering can offer many benefits including boosting your mental and physical health, enabling you to get vital experience for your chosen career, meeting new people, boosting your confidence and giving you a sense of satisfaction from supporting the local community.
The afternoon will provide an opportunity to find out more about what volunteering opportunities are available in Melton and to register for volunteering opportunities if you are interested.
For more information about the event call Donna Bradbury at Melton Council on (01664) 502376 or email email@example.com
