Special celebratory events organised by the Melton Mowbray with Freeby United Reformed Church are being held to mark the 350th anniversary of Freeby village chapel.
The historic chapel was built in 1665 and is where famous hymn write Dr Isaac Watts preached.
On Saturday, from 10am, an exhibition and video of the life of Dr Watts will be shown in the church. Ploughman’s lunches and cream teas will be served throughout the afternoon at the village hall.
A thanksgiving service will also be held at 4pm.
