A competition to design a new logo for the Syston and District Volunteer Centre has been won by a student at Wreake Valley Academy.
Around ten students from the Syston based academy entered the competition with Meggan Bedder’s logo being chosen as the winner.
All entrants were presented with vouchers for the purchase of art materials.
Chairman of the board of trustees at the centre, Paul Turner said: “The competition forms part of our strategy to raise awareness among young people of the valuable work carried out by volunteers across the local community, hopefully stimulating some of them to get involved.”
