Schools across the Melton borough celebrate World Book Day in a novel way

School children in Melton and across the borough swapped their school jumpers for wizard cloaks, princess frocks and superhero costumes to celebrate World Book Day on Thursday.

The annual event is a celebration of authors, books and illustrators with youngsters in over 100 countries dressing up and taking part in literacy activities at school.
