THREE schools in the borough recorded outstanding results in tests for 11-year-olds.
At Asfordby Hill, Harby and Scalford primary schools all pupils achieved the expected level of progress or above in English and maths.
And across the county 84 per cent of pupils achieved this, an improvement of six per cent on 2011.
Kerry Hill, headteacher of Scalford Primary, put its success down to a combination of raising expectations alongside a creative curriculum and high quality teaching.
She said: “The whole team works incredibly hard to ensure all our pupils make the best progress possible. We challenge each child whatever their ability and give them the support they need so every one has the chance to succeed.”
