Pupils and parents invited to consider GCSE options early at Wreake Valley Academy event

Primary school pupils and their parents from the Melton and Syston areas are being urged to consider their GCSE subjects early by attending a school event next month.

Wreake Valley Academy in Syston is hosting its annual GCSE pathways evening for Year 9 pupils on February 12 (6pm-8pm) so they can talk to teachers and learn more about subjects being offered.

Principal Tony Pinnock is also inviting Year 5 and 6 children from primary schools in Melton and Syston to help them and their parents make an early decision on what they can study when they reach Key Stage 4. For details email admin@wvacademy.org or call (0116) 2641080.
