Melton schoolchildren at Swallowdale learn about healthy eating during Healthy Schools' Week
Primary school pupils learned about healthy eating by participating in various activities for Healthy Schools' Week.
Swallowdale School Council successfully ran a nutritious snack shop where they sold different fruits to children at break time. The produce was kindly donated by supermarkets Morrisons and Tesco.
A competition to challenge children to create characters made from fruit and vegetables was also held with prizes awarded for best creations.
Healthy Schools’ Week at Swallowdale raised over £200 which will go towards buying some more outdoor picnic benches.
