Primary school pupils learned about healthy eating by participating in various activities for Healthy Schools’ Week.

Swallowdale School Council successfully ran a nutritious snack shop where they sold different fruits to children at break time. The produce was kindly donated by supermarkets Morrisons and Tesco.

A competition to challenge children to create characters made from fruit and vegetables was also held with prizes awarded for best creations.

Healthy Schools’ Week at Swallowdale raised over £200 which will go towards buying some more outdoor picnic benches.
