Children and Friends Of Ab Kettleby School got down to some serious sponge work on Saturday and washed people’s cars.
Around ten youngsters braved the cold, wet and windy conditions and raised £165 for their school trim trail.
Friends Of Ab Kettleby School treasurer Stephanie Morriss said: “Within ten minutes the children were soaked not just from the rain but from soaking each other with water from the buckets and having water fights.
“We charged £5 per vehicle and we washed 15 cars in total. Additional funds came from selling donated cakes and bacon cobs.
“Everyone had brilliant fun and we’d all like to do this again once a year.”
