Belvoir High School pupils are celebrating their best set of GCSE results ever with 74.2 per cent of pupils achieving five A*-C grades, including English and maths.
The English and maths results are particularly impressive, with 84 per cent of pupils achieving A* - C in English and 85 per cent of pupils achieving A*-C in maths. These results are the school’s best ever results in these two subjects, despite the increased rigour introduced to the subjects in the last two years.
Belvoir High School is part of the Belvoir and Melton Academy Trust, and includes the MV16 sixth form centre.
A spokesman said: “Belvoir’s results follow MV16’s outstanding A-level results last week. This reflects the continuing development of Belvoir and Melton Academy Trust as it goes from strength to strength.
“The results are testament to the hard work and commitment of all the pupils, staff and governors across the academy.”
