Melton teenager receives community order after admitting assault

The following local cases were dealt with by magistrates sitting in Loughborough on December 17:

Marcus Marshall (18), of Shepherds Croft, Melton, admitted assaulting a man in Melton on November 27. He received a one-year community order, including 40 hours’ unpaid work and must pay £20 compensation.

Brian Paddison (69), of Goodes Lane, Syston, admitted driving with excess alcohol in Queniborough on October 12. He was banned from the roads for 26 months, fined £300, ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
